I've always been on the lookout for new and effective ways to teach handstands to children, as the handstand is a foundational skill in gymnastics. Many advanced skills either begin, end, or pass through a handstand, making it essential for young gymnasts to master.
However, going upside down can be intimidating for young children and often takes time and practice to develop. I wanted a setup that was visually engaging, easy to understand, and adaptable for a variety of handstand challenges.
That’s why Asher Athletic created the Handstand Carpet. Its space-themed design is fun, intuitive, and encourages imaginative learning.
